At our Westcoast Calligraphy Society meeting in May, we enjoyed a presentation from Emmanuelle Renard and Oscar
Valero. Emmanuelle
and Oscar have been collaborating for the last 4 months at Malaspina Printmakers
Society, working with lithography. They have been exploring language,
alphabet and mark making.
Our homework is to try some pieces inspired by their presentation. One of the things that inspired me was a piece done with negative space. I tried one using some alphabet masks and spray watercolours:
